This 1981 UK set marks the first time all 30 songs from the Star Club tapes were gathered into one package.

Also, this set was the first UK appearance of 4 tracks not previously issued in Britain.

Stuart Sutcliffe, listed on the front cover, is not on these recordings (he had died months before).
Recording date is stated as April 1962 when it is actually December 62.
