Il disco viene pubblicato dopo l'ufficializzazione dello scioglimento del gruppo (10 aprile 1970). Registrato pressochè in presa diretta, viene affidato al produttore Phil Spector che ne cura il missaggio e ne modifica in alcune parti il risultato, grazie all'aggiunta di cori e arrangiamenti
