BEACH TOWEL THE BEATLES
Decorated with the wording "The Beatles" printed across the top, together with facsimile signatures showing only the members' first names.
The beach towel is white and features illustrations of the Beatles wearing striped Victorian-style men's bathing suits, with the exclamation "Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!" printed at the bottom. The artwork was based on photographs taken by the band's photographer, Dezo Hoffmann on July 27, 1963.
The decorative towel was licensed by NEMS, and the wording "NEMS Enterprise LTD" was printed in the lower left corner. The towel itself was manufactured by Windsor Textile Co. Inc. of Chicago and then supplied to Towel Decorators for Cannon Mills Company (founded in 1888 and located at 101 West First – Lake Drive, Kannapolis, North Carolina). Labels printed for Cannon Mills Towel Decorators carried the wording: "Made Expressly for Towel Decorators."
An advertisement for the towel stated: "Jumbo 'Beatles' Beach Towel. 35" x 66" cotton terry. Color printed Beatles pictures, autographs. $2.66."
