George Harrison Action Figure

Dolls produced exclusively by Remco in 1964 and designed by master puppeteer Paul Ashley.

Each figure wore a black, collarless suit with a tie and featured the corresponding musical instrument fastened around its neck, along with an “autograph” in gold ink.

An advertisement urged fans to “get in on all the excitement and fun that comes with owning all or any of these fabulous dolls!”

The five-inch soft-body doll had “THE BEATLEST™” printed on the back, while the soles of the feet bore “@NEMS ENT. LTD. 1964’ and ‘LIC. BY SELTAEB INC.’ The hard-body version of the same size had ‘THE BEATLEST™’ on the back along with ‘LIC. BY SELTAEB INC © BY NEMS ENT. LID 1964.’

Ogni bambola veniva venduta in una scatola senza alcuna indicazione stampata su quale Beatle fosse all'interno. La confezione aveva foto della band sul davanti, una finestra in cellophane e la scritta 'Get all 4 Beatles by Remco!'  Le scatole misuravano 5x10x18 cm.

La scatola riportava la scritta '©1964 NEMS ENT LTD Licensed by Seltaeb INC' e sul retro si leggeva:

"The one, the only, the genuine Beatle Boys! Start a scream team with your own GEORGE, JOHN, RINGO, and PAUL! Lovables close at hand. In your room for private swooning. By the record player or radio. In your car. YEAH! YEAH! YEAH!

Remember, only REMCO brings you the true official genuine BEATLES that make you glad, glad, glad you're mad, mad, mad for the BEATLES! BEATLE-MANIA! Who wants to be cured?"

Also included were the model numbers for each Beatles doll (1800—George, 1801—John, 1802—Ringo, 1803—Paul) and the words “Made in U.S.A.”

The dolls could be ordered and shipped from the Sears catalog.  An advertisement  promoted the dolls with the following text:

*“REMCO Official BEATLES MASCOT DOLL. Choose from your favorite Teenage Idol—Ringo, Paul, George, John! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! $1.”*

Remco Industries Incorporated included its own merchandising license in the contracts provided to Apple Corps Limited on August 8, 1968, through the firm Wright, Webb & Company.
