THE BEATLES JIGSAW - Set of 4

A 340-piece Beatles-themed jigsaw puzzle, available in 4 variations:

  1. performance in brown outfits
  2. performance at the Cavern Club
  3. performance in blue outfits
  4. sitting with their instruments

Each jigsaw puzzle, once assembled, measures approximately 28 cm x 43 cm

Created at the height of the first wave of Beatlemania, this series of jigsaw puzzles represents one of the very first examples of official Beatles merchandise. Produced in the United Kingdom by NEMS Enterprises—the management company founded by Brian Epstein—it reflects the expansion of the band’s image beyond music into the popular culture of the 1960s.

Each jigsaw, consisting of 340 pieces and measuring approximately 43 x 28 cm when completed, features vibrant illustrations of the band performing or posing with their instruments. The graphic style, typical of the mid-1960s, captures the energy and visual identity of the group at a time when their fame was beginning to spread internationally.

The series included several variations, as indicated on the back of the packages, offering a range of scenes that alternated between live settings and more stylized compositions. Unlike later merchandise, which was predominantly photographic, these images reflect an early phase of Beatles iconography, in which artistic interpretation played a central role in shaping the group’s public image.
