Beatles Nylon Stockings

Carefree and Ballito mass-produced these tights for the U.S. and the U.K., while Vroom & Dreesmann focused on the fan market in the Netherlands. The tights manufactured by Carefree in 1964 in the U.S. were brown or black and featured prints of the Beatles’ faces and reproductions of their signatures.

The packaging is red and black on a yellow background. The tights sold in the United States were manufactured in England. The retail box, which held up to 12 pairs of tights, measured 24 x 13 x 2.5 cm and featured the same design as the tights packaging. It also contained a promotional photo of the Beatles and their signatures printed on the lid.
