The Beatles – Fab Four Salt & Pepper Set

A set consisting of two identical pieces, featuring a photograph of the four Beatles taken from a promotional portrait by Angus McBean for Parlophone (late 1963).

The term “Fab Four” had only recently been coined at that time (it first appeared in the British press in 1964).

The production of these sets was unofficial but tolerated by NEMS Enterprises, as they were intended for the local market and small-scale artisanal production.

Among the earliest examples of “Beatles domesticware”—that is, everyday objects transformed into pop culture symbols.
